GULF SHORES, Alabama – Troy Track and Field wrapped up the final day of competition on Sunday at the 2015 Outdoor Track & Field Sun Belt Championships, setting six personal records at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium. The women's team finished with 46 points, while the men's squad earned 11 points throughout the weekend.
"Although team scores may not reflect the effort put forth this weekend, these kids stepped up in a huge way," said Director of Track and Field, Marc Davis. "Our issue is depth right now. We got kids through to the finals, and they stepped up. With only a few exceptions, the athletes that scored were Freshmen and Sophomores. The future is bright for Troy Track and Field. I'm proud of their effort. I'm proud of my coaching staff for their direction, and I'm proud to lead all of them during this rebuilding period.
