No. 43 Troy Heads to Old Waverly for Final Sun Belt Tune Up

TROY, Alabama – The 43rd-ranked Troy men's golf team heads to the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Miss., Monday and Tuesday for its final tune up prior to the Sun Belt Conference Championships.
The Trojans are coming off their sixth top-four finish (in eight events) this season after they placed third at the Furman Intercollegiate two weeks ago; Troy has amassed a 79-29 record this season.
Troy's lineup will feature Jake Tucker (73.31), Luke Moser (73.20), Phillip Brennan (73.61), Clayton Vannoy (73.71) and Tolver Dozier (74.04), while Wil Clowdus (75.33) will play as an individual. The Trojans are averaging a 290.17 per round in their four tournaments this spring, which is almost a stroke and a half better than their fall average.
The field includes No. 74 Chattanooga, Cincinnati, No. 37 Florida, No. 73 Kansas, UL Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, No. 81 Memphis, Mississippi State, No. 55 Ole Miss, No. 88 South Alabama, No. 52 Southern Louisiana, Southern Miss, No. 32 UAB and No. 68 UNC Greensboro.
The teams will play 36 holes Monday beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on the par-72, 7,088-yard course. Play will conclude with 18 holes Tuesday.
