No. 34 Troy Finishes Third at Furman Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The No. 34 Troy men's golf team wrapped up play at the Furman Intercollegiate in third place after shooting a 9-over 297 in Sunday's final round at the Furman University Golf Course.
In eight tournaments this season, the Trojans now have a pair of second place finishes, two third place finishes and two fourth place finishes.
Luke Moser turned in his second top 10 finish of the year as he placed sixth after finishing the weekend 3-under. Moser carded four birdies on the day and finished his round even par.
Clayton Vannoy, who played as an individual, posted his second straight top 20 finish as he tied for 11th place overall. Vannoy finished even for the tournament after a round of 72 on Sunday thanks to three birdies.
Georgia State won the team title, while Jacksonville finished one shot ahead of Troy in second place. Troy was 13 strokes better than No. 31 Virginia Tech over the course of the tournament as the Trojans improved to 79-29 on the year.
Tolver Dozier recorded his fifth top 25 finish in eight tournaments on the year after shooting a 5-over 77 in the final round; Dozier shot 4-over for the weekend and tied for 25th. Phillip Brennan tied for 30th place overall after shooting a 2-over in the final round, while Jared Bettcher tied for 33rd following a final round 75 and Jake Tucker tied for 64th after carding a 76 on Sunday. Playing as an individual, Wil Clowdus fired a 2-over 74 in the final round and tied for 58th place overall.
