Cox Earns Win as Troy Track and Field Finishes at Alabama Relays

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Corina Cox led the Troy track and field team on the final day of competition at the 2015 John Mitchell Alabama Relays. Cox clinched a first place finish in the discus throw with a mark of 52.28 meters.

 Two other Trojans, Garrison Floyd and Sydeny Wright, earned top-10 finishes. In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Floyd finished with a time of 12.03 seconds, to earn a sixth place finish. Wright sprinted to a 14.71 second time in the 100-meter dash, finishing fourth overall.

On the women's side, in the 400-meter dash, Dallas Worthy finished with a time of 56.56 seconds. Aleeah Stigarll leaped 5.51 meters in the long jump. Riley Schwietz and Lacey Marcus finished with times of 15.12 and 15.69, respectively in the 100-meter hurdles.

Other competitors for the women were Jaevyn Worthan threw 40.62 meters in the discus throw.

On relay teams, in the women's 4x100, Paige McMillian, Alexus Cobbs, Cameia Alexander and Wright posted a time of 47.66.

Next Friday and Saturday, the Trojans will be in Jacksonville, Fla., as they compete at the University of North Florida at the UNF Spring Break Invitational.
