No. 62 Troy Extends Win Streak to Seven Matches

TROY, Alabama – The 62nd-ranked Troy men's tennis team ran its winning streak to seven matches on Saturday with a win over Columbus State, 4-1, in the Trojan Invitational Shootout at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
Troy (17-5) has now won 12 of its last 13 matches, but did so after Columbus State, the No. 6 team in the ITA Division II National Team Rankings, won the doubles point. Columbus State (10-2) got wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take the opening point.
Hassan Ndayishimye quickly pulled Troy even as he won at No. 2, 6-1, 6-3, over Adi Malicchegovia, the 34th-ranked NCAA Division II player in the nation. Andy Lau then gave Troy the lead with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles.
Gabriel Dais put Troy up 3-1 as he won at No. 1 over Oussama Zoghlami, the 16th-ranked NCAA Division II player, 6-3, 6-3. Daniel Bustamante then clinched the match as he won at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Complete results are below.
