Troy Hosts Georgia Tech on Tuesday

TROY, Alabama - The Troy softball team hosts Georgia Tech at the Troy Softball Complex on Tuesday night at 5 p.m. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday night, but has been moved up due to forecasted inclement weather.

Troy (12-8) comes in having won eight out of its last 10 games, posting a 5-1 record last week. The Trojans knocked off Alabama State three times and Colgate twice. The lone loss came to Stetson in the Stetson Invitational championship game.

Kate Benton leads the Trojans with a .377 batting average and 10 stolen bases on the season. Hannah Day and Becca Hartley have three home runs each this season; all came last week. Michelle Phelps and Amanda Winters have four home runs on the season and 20 RBIs, which is highest on the team.

Troy leads the all-time series with Georgia Tech 12-11, however the Yellow Jackets won the last season's meeting, a 2-1 decision, in Atlanta.

Georgia Tech (7-11) is 2-2 this season against Top 25 opponents, with wins over No. 20 Nebraska and loses against No. 7 Michigan. The Yellow Jackets are coming off a sweep to Louisville last weekend.
