Four Troy Basketball Doubleheaders to Air on ESPN3

NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference has announced its largest television package ever for men's and women's basketball for the 2015-16 season. Included in that package are four Sun Belt doubleheaders that feature the Troy men's and women's basketball teams.

Troy will first appear on ESPN3 on Thursday, January 7, when the Trojans' doubleheader at Georgia State will be broadcast. Troy will also be featured on ESPN3 in doubleheaders at UL Lafayette (Jan. 23), Arkansas State (Feb. 6) and Appalachian State (Feb. 20).

The Sun Belt basketball television package in 2015-16 features 99 games on ESPN3 and two games on ESPN2. On-campus productions for ESPN3 broadcasts are part of an expanded joint partnership between the 11 member institutions of the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN. The television productions offer unique opportunities for students and staff at each Sun Belt Conference member institution in live-game production.

In addition to the regular season schedule, the entire Sun Belt Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will air on ESPN3 with the men's championships game also airing on ESPN2.

The Troy men and women hit the court next Thursday, November 5, when they host an exhibition doubleheader. Â The women tip off at 5:15 p.m. against Stillman, with the men to follow at 7:30 p.m. against AUM.

The Troy women open their regular season at home on Friday, November 13, against West Alabama. Â The Troy men open that night on the road at South Florida. Â The Troy men open their home, regular-season schedule on Sunday, November 15, when they host Reinhardt.
