No. 75 Men’s Golf Finishes Sixth at The Grove; Final Round Canceled

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – The No. 75 Troy men's golf team finished in sixth place in the The Intercollegiate at The Grove; the tournament was shortened to 36 holes after rain canceled Tuesday's final round. The Trojans shot a 21-over 306 in Monday's second round.
Jared Bettcher carded four birdies on the day and Calum Masters had three birdies as the pair led the Trojans with a 3-over 75. Bettcher finished tied for eighth place, while Masters tied for 21st.
Luke Moser finished his day with three birdies and a round of 75, which placed him tied for 26th place overall. Playing as an individual, Sean Stone had a pair of birdies on his card as he shot a 5-over 77. Stone finished tied with Clayton Vannoy in 31st place after Vannoy shot a 9-over 81 in the second round. Cam Norman tied for 42nd place after shooting an 82 on Monday.
No. 26 Kentucky jumped three spots into the lead after shooting a round of even par, while Lipscomb dropped into second place following a 14-over on Monday. Troy finished just seven shots back of Lipscomb for second and four shots back of Middle Tennessee for third place.
The Trojans are done for the fall and will next be in action Feb. 19-21 at the All-American Intercollegiate hosted by Houston.
