Troy Concludes Play at Big Easy Tennis Classic

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – The Troy men's and women's tennis teams concluded play at the Big Easy Tennis Classic on Saturday with both teams having success in singles and doubels play.
For the Troy men, Calum McKinlay won the singles flight 6 title, beating Troy teammates in the quarterfinals, semifinals and final. McKinlay won matches against Jeremy Braud, Andre Baldo and Sam Bird, respectively, to win the title.
Also for the Troy men, Francisco Yim Kim won the consolation draw in the singles flight 1, beating opponents from Nicholls and Alabama State on Saturday.
For the Troy women, three of the four Trojans advanced to the semifinals of their singles flight while Sanae Ohta and Nancy Karaky also advanced to the semifinals in the lone doubles flight.
Ohta, Karaky and Luisa Ferrauti all advanced to singles semifinals for the Trojans.
