Trojans Win Second Straight Sun Belt Match

ATLANTA – The Troy men's tennis team picked up its second straight Sun Belt win on the road as the Trojans beat Georgia State, 4-3, at the Atlanta Athletic Club on Saturday night.
Troy (4-3, 2-0) won the doubles point thanks to tiebreaker wins at No. 2 and No.3 doubles. Troy's duo of Gabriel Dias and Cyprian Oxczarz first won at No. 3, 7-6, before Hassan Ndayishimye and Andy Lau clinched the opening point with a 7-6 win at No. 2.
Ndayishimye moved to 5-1 on the season in singles play as he beat Zack Kennedy at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 7-5. Georgia State (1-3, 0-1) got its first point with a win at No. 4 singles, but Dias put Troy up 3-1 after a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.
The Panthers made it 3-2 with a win at No. 3, but Giovani Samaha clinched the match for Troy with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles.
Complete results are below. Troy returns to the court next Saturday when Southern Miss visits the Lunsford Tennis Complex for the Trojans' first home match of the season.
