Troy (7-10, 2-6) is looking to rebound after two tough losses. In the Trojans' last game, Troy led UALR for a majority of the game, but a 20-2 run by UALR proved to be too much to overcome as Troy fell at Jack Stephens Center, 73-65.
Â
In the loss, Chris Bilbo led Troy with 15 points, his first time leading the Trojans. Meanwhile John Walton III earned his first career double-double performance with 11 points and a game-high 12 boards.
Â
In all games, Person ranks second in the conference, averaging 2.7 treys per game while Abdul-Aleem ranks third with 2.7 as well. In long-range percentage, Abdul-Aleem is third, shooting 39.8 (43-of-108) percent while Person is shooting 38.3 (46-of-120) percent, ranked fourth.
Â
Arkansas State (8-10, 3-6) is coming to Trojan Arena after a 96-59 loss to UL Lafayette on Thursday. PJ Hardwick had a career-night, pacing the Red Wolves with 17 points on 7-17 shooting, as he was the only A-State player to score in double figures.
Â
Last season, Troy and Arkansas State split the series, as both teams won on the road. In the program's history, Troy leads the series 8-7, with a 3-2 record in Troy. All five of the previous meetings at Troy have been decided by 10 or fewer points, including on overtime game (1/24/13).
Â
Troy continues its homestand as it welcomes ULM to Trojan Arena on Thursday, January 29. The game between the Warhawks and Trojans will be broadcast on ESPN3. The doubleheader against ULM will begin with the women's game at 5:15 p.m., and then the men are slated to start at 7:30 p.m.
