9/8/2026 10:00:00 AM | Basketball (M)
PENSACOLA, Fla. - Troy men's basketball will compete in the 2026 Pensacola Invitational from Nov. 21-22, Ross Potts Productions, Inc. and the Pensacola Bay Center announced Tuesday.
The Trojans will take on Valparaiso on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., before facing Nicholls at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22.
"We're really excited about the opportunity to compete in the Pensacola Invitational," head coach Adam Howard said. "Playing in the Bay Center gives our team a chance to compete in a building that matters to us later in the season. Playing multiple games there gives Trojan fans an opportunity to make the short trip to Pensacola to create a great environment in a very competitive event."
Troy will meet Valparaiso for the eighth time in program history and first since the 2009-10 season, while its matchup against Nicholls will mark the 15th all-time meeting between the two teams.
Southern Miss will round out the four-team field.
The Bay Center is a familiar venue for Troy, as it has hosted the Sun Belt Championship since 2022. The Trojans have won back-to-back Sun Belt championships and will look to three-peat this season. The 2027 Sun Belt Championship is scheduled for March 2-8 at the Bay Center.
