Troy Golf Signs Cam Norman

TROY, Ala. – Cam Norman, who won an Alabama high school individual state championship, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Troy men's golf team for the 2014-15 season, head coach Matt Terry announced Saturday.
Norman, who currently attends Faulkner State Community College, won the 2012 Alabama Independent School Association individual championship. This season at Faulkner, Norman has turned in a top-five finish in five of his seven tournaments.
"We are excited to have a player of Cam's ability join our program," Terry said. "He will come in with a lot of tournament experience at the collegiate level already under his belt. He is another outstanding local player who is also a great student. Greenville has a rich history of putting out solid college golfers."
A 2012 graduate of Fort Dale Academy, Norman won the 2013 Greenville Invitational one year after he finished as the runner-up in the same tournament. Norman is from the same hometown as former Troy All-American David Hancock (1980).
