TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball team will play its final regular season game on Saturday as Texas State visits Trojan Arena at 5:15 p.m. The Trojans will be looking for their seventh straight win at home and will also honor three seniors in their final game at Trojan Arena.Â

Troy (12-16, 8-9) is coming off of an 88-72 home win over UT Arlington on Wednesday. The Trojans currently sit in a tie for fifth place in the Sun Belt standings, but could finish anywhere from fifth to eighth.
A win on Saturday guarantees Troy at least the sixth seed in the Sun Belt Championships, which begin on Wednesday. A win and a Georgia State loss (vs WKU) would give Troy the fifth seed.
The Trojans have won six straight games at Trojan Arena and are 8-4 in their last 12 games after starting Sun Belt play 0-5.
Troy has scored 80-plus points in four straight games and lead the Sun Belt in scoring at 80.9 points per game. Troy has a chance to be just the second Sun Belt team since 2000 to average over 80.0 per game in a season.
Troy is led by All-America and Sun Belt Player of the Year candidate Joanna Harden. Harden is averaging 25.8 points per game, tops in the Sun Belt and fifth in the nation. She has scored 20-plus points in 24 of 28 games this season, including in 14 straight.
Texas State (14-14, 11-6) enters the weekend in a tie for third place in the Sun Belt standings. The Bobcats are guaranteed to finish either third of fourth in the standings. If Troy wins and earns the fifth seed, Texas State would be the fourth seed and the two would meet again in the Sun Belt Championships.
The Bobcats this season's first meeting between the two, defeating Troy, 87-82, in overtime, in San Marcos in late January. Texas State used a late run in regulation to force overtime, then had another late run in the extra period to pick up the win. That was the first meeting in the series history between the two.
Troy's ceremony to honor its three seniors (Brooke Bowie, Joanna Harden and Dominique Ross) will take place at halftime of the men's basketball game, which is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
