Troy (11-16, 7-9) has already clinched a spot in next week's Sun Belt Championships. The Trojans come into Wednesday's game in a three-way tie for sixth place in the league standings with UL Monroe and UL Lafayette. Troy is just a game behind fifth-place Georgia State, who plays at UALR on Tuesday night.
The Trojans are coming off of a narrow, 91-87, loss at UL Monroe on Saturday. Troy led for the majority of the game, but went without a field goal for three minutes down the stretch as the Warhawks took the lead.
Troy, however, closes the regular season with two games at Trojan Arena where it has won five straight. The Trojans last won a week ago when they defeated UALR, 86-77, for the first time in program history.
The Trojans lead the Sun Belt in scoring at 80.7 points per game, over 7.0 points better than the second place offense. Troy is also in the league's top three in rebounding (43.8), 3-pointers made (6.4), assists (13.4), blocks (4.2), steals (10.1) and turnover margin (+3.11).
Troy is led by All-America and Sun Belt Player of the Year candidate Joanna Harden. The senior is fifth in the NCAA and first in the Sun Belt in scoring at 25.9 points per game. Harden has scored 20-plus in 23 games, including 13 straight. She has scored 30-plus seven times, five more than any other player in the Sun Belt.
UT Arlington (4-23, 3-13) is coming off of a home loss to WKU on Saturday and closes the regular season with two road games. The Mavericks feature one of the Sun Belt's best frontcourts in Desherra Nwanguma (13.4 ppg, 8.4 rpg) and Briana Walker (13.2 ppg, 7.0 rpg).
Troy is 1-1 all-time against UT Arlington, including an 85-62 win earlier this season in Arlington. Harden led all scorers with 32 points in that game as Troy held UTA to 29 percent shooting, including 6-of-36 in the first half.
