JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A walk-off single in the seventh did the Trojans in as Troy (4-5-1) fell to Ohio (7-0), 5-4, in its final game at the Osprey Invitational, hosted by North Florida. The Trojans had battled back from being down 4-0 to level the score in the sixth.

Jaycee Affeldt took the loss despite striking out nine in 6.2 innings of work. Savannah Jo Dorsey got the win after pitching one inning.

The Trojans had tied the score in the sixth with a three-run blast by Michelle Phelps, plating Erica Davis and Chandler Griffin.

Troy got its first run in the top of the fourth. Rachel Rigney roped an RBI double to left field, scoring Phelps from second.

Ohio did its damage in the second, scoring four runs. The Bobcats picked up three hits in the inning.

Next up for the Trojans is a trip to Gainesville, Fla., for the Lipton Invitational where they will square off against Georgia Southern, Florida, Coastal Carolina and Indiana. Check back with TroyTrojans.com for more information as the event gets closer.
