Troy Cross Country Heads to Jacksonville State

JACKSONVILLE, Alabama – The Troy University cross country team will be hitting the road this weekend to compete at the Foothills Invitational hosted by Jacksonville State University.

The Trojans will be competing against conference foes Georgia State and Georgia Southern. Other in-state teams that will be attending are University of Alabama at Huntsville, Alabama A&M and Birmingham Southern. The meet will be held on the campus at Jacksonville State at Oxford Lake and Recreation Center. The course is entirely grass with a couple bridge crossings.Â

The women's 5k will begin the day's events at 9:15 a.m. Competing for the Trojan women will be Katrina Bokenfhor, Kristina Bokenfohr, Sara Lane, Rae Leach, Stephanie Newman, Julia Ostendorf and Alyssa Staubach.

The men's 8k will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. Dominic Dudai, Caden Ewing, Bairon Francisco, Sean Kent, Calvin Lysell, Cameron McCutcheon and Shakiel Parker are slated to compete for the Trojan men.
