Trojans to Compete at Kentucky Invitational

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Troy University track and field team heads to Nutter Field House in Lexington, Ky., this weekend to take part in the Kentucky Invitational.Â
"We're excited to have gotten a full week of training since returning from the holiday break," said head coach Jill Lancaster. "This is a great meet for us, as there will be several quality teams from the region and we'll be competing at a top-notch facility."
23 teams will be competing this weekend, beginning with the women's weight throw on Friday night. Competition resumes on Saturday morning with the remainder of the events.
A live stream of the meet is available through the University of Kentucky's athletics website.
Ohio State, Wake Forest, Indiana and fellow Sun Belt school Arkansas State are among the teams that will be in attendance.Â
Troy is looking to improve upon its performance at last weeks UAB Blazer Invitational, the first meet of the season. With a full week of training under their belts, the Trojans are poised to take a big step in the right direction.Â
