OPELIKA, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team shot a combined 624 over the final two rounds on Tuesday to complete the Tiger Invitational in 15^th at the Grand National – Lake Course.

The Trojans were led by Phillip Brennan, who shot a 76-74-77 over the three rounds to finish the tournament tied for 25th, a season-best, at 11-over par, 227.

Kyle Thommesen and Jake Tucker both finished tied for 59^th with 19-over par, 235 peformances. Thommesen fired 77-77-81 over his three rounds, while Tucker shot a 80-79-76 over 54 holes of play.

Wil Clowdus finished 77^th after carding a 26-over par, 242, while Tolver Dozier finished the event in 80^th with a 37-over par, 253.

No. 41 Mississippi State won the tournament's team title with an 889, 25-over par performance, and topped second place No. 69 Memphis by seven strokes. Tournament host No. 21 Auburn finished third with a team score 899.

Mississippi State's Chad Ramey won the individual title with a three-under par performance, to edge Niclas Carlsson of Auburn by three strokes.

The Trojans will be back in action Friday-Sunday as they travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the Seminole Intercollegiate hosted by Florida State.
