Schedule
TROY, Ala. – The new age of Troy men's basketball is set to begin on Tuesday evening at 7 p.m., inside Trojan Arena, as Phil Cunningham and the Trojans take the court against Victory University in an exhibition match. Admission for the event is free.
Live stats and live video of the game can be found at TroyTrojans.com. Live in-game updates can be found on Twitter by following @TroyMensHoops.
Cunningham is in his first season with the Trojans after serving as an assistant at Western Kentucky last year. Prior to that, Cunningham was an assistant with Mississippi State.
Troy returns seven letter-winners from a team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Championships a season ago, including leading returning scorer Hunter Williams. Williams finished last season second on the team with 10.4 points per game, and led the squad in assists and assist-to-turnover ratio.
Also returning are five other seniors, in Antoine Myers, Tevin Calhoun, Wes Hinton, Jeff Mullahey and Josh Warren, as well as junior Deonata Jethroe.
Cunningham also brought in a talented group of new players to add to the mix, including junior college transfer Kevin Thomas, who averaged 9.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game at Palm Beach State last season.
Victory University is a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and is located in Memphis, Tenn. The Eagles are coached by Scott Robinson and will take on the Auburn Tigers on Monday night.
