LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Troy volleyball team fell in three sets at UALR on Friday, 3-0 (31-29, 25-20, 25-14). Troy returns home looking to snap a three-match losing skid on Sunday when Texas State visits Trojan Arena.

Troy (9-15, 4-6) led the first set late and had two set points at 24-22 and 24-23, but UALR bounced back to even the score and take the opening frame, 31-29. Troy held another late lead in the second set at 19-17, but UALR scored eight of nine to take a 25-20 decision.

UALR (16-6, 8-2) hit .613 in the final set with 20 kills and just one error and took the final frame, 25-14.

Kiah Cheatham led Troy with a career-high 16 kills and just two attack errors for a .378 attack percentage. She was the only Trojan in double figures as Troy hit .164 as a team.

Alexandra Alexander posted a fifth straight double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs. Ali Dowdall led the way with 12 digs for Troy.

Sun Belt Preseason Player of the Year Edina Begic led UALR with 28 kills and a .535 attack percentage. Sonja Milanovic posted 16 kills and hit .429 for UALR.

The win completes a season sweep over Troy for UALR after a five-set win at Trojan Arena earlier in October.

Troy returns to Trojan Arena on Sunday when Texas State visits for a 12 pm match.. The Bobcats fell in five sets at South Alabama on Friday night. Troy's first loss in its current three-match losing streak came at Texas State in four sets last Friday.
