Troy ended the first round on top of the leader board and finished the weekend at three-over par-75, tied for fifth with No. 22 Georgia and Charleston Southern.
“We got back today and tied Georgia,” Head Coach Matt Terry said. “We made some bogeys late in our finishes today, but overall I'm proud of the team for playing in three tournaments back-to-back and with each event they lowered their stroke averages."

Phillip Brennan, who competed as an individual, completed the weekend at 11-over par tied for 76th.
“We have some time to go back to Troy and work on tightening up our games and making things a little cleaner before we leave again,” said Terry. “We are a young team traveling with three freshmen, a sophomore and a senior, and to see these guys get better is exciting."
