Troy Tennis Rebounds at Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Both the Troy men's and women's tennis teams rebounded from Saturday losses with wins over Jacksonville on Sunday.
The Troy women (4-5) shutout the Dolphins, 7-0, while the Troy men (3-9) won 5-2 over JU.
The Trojans remain on the road as the men travel to Boca Raton, Fla. on Wednesday to take on George Washington in a neutral court match before facing Florida Atlantic on Friday.
The women travel to Charleston Southern on Tuesday before traveling to Georgia Southern on Thursday.

Women's – TROY 7, JACKSONVILLE 0
After seeing their three-match winning streak snapped at North Florida on Saturday, the Troy women's tennis team rebounded with a shutout win over Jacksonville on Sunday, 7-0.
Despite losing a doubles match at number two, the Trojans had already clinched the opening points with wins in the other two matches. For the second straight day, Karoline Grymel and Lyubov Dorofeeva picked up a win at number one doubles, 8-5.
Olfa Dhaoui and Rosaura Ramirez-Vega picked up the point clinching win at number three in convincing fashion, 8-1.
Dhaoui picked up the first singles win easily in straight sets at number three, 6-1, 6-2. Dorofeeva was next on the board with a 6-3, 6-3 win at number two before Munoz Giron clinched the match at number four with a 6-3, 6-1 win.
Wins at number six by Ramirez-Vega, number one by Grymel and number five by El Hsissen closed out the match for the Trojans.

Men's – TROY 5, JACKSONVILLE 2
After a tough 7-0 loss at North Florida on Saturday, the Troy men's tennis team rebounded with a 5-2 win over Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon.
The turnaround effort started with a doubles point win thanks to wins at number one and three. Mansingh Athare and Sami Ghorbel got the victory at number one, 8-5, while Patrick Eichler and Anas Rouchdi won at number three, 8-6.
In singles play, the Trojans picked up the three matches they needed plus one as they won at the first four matches in the lineup. Troy fell at numbers five and six but the overall outcome was never in doubt.
Rouchdi got the win at number one, 7-6, 6-3 while Ghorbel won at number two easily, 6-1, 6-1. Athare won at number three, 7-5, 6-1 and Eichler won at number four 6-1, 7-6.
