Trojans Set for Two Weekend Road Matches

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – After 10 days off, the Troy men's tennis team returns to action this weekend as they travel to take on Southern Miss and Lamar.

The Trojans will visit Hattiesburg, Miss., to meet with Southern Miss on Friday at 1:00 p.m. before taking on Lamar in Hattiesburg on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

In their most recent outing, the Trojans (1-5) fell at UAB back on Feb. 21. That match came a week after the Trojans picked up their first victory of the season in a home shutout of Kennesaw State on Feb. 12.

Anas Rouchdi has been solid for the Trojans, posting a 3-3 mark at the number one spot in the singles lineup.

Southern Miss (5-4) also comes in well rested as they haven't played since Feb. 20 when they lost to Florida A&M. The Golden Eagles are led by a pair of regionally ranked singles players in Michael Elortegui and Alex Doleac.

Lamar (1-2) is most rested team of the bunch as they haven't played since Feb. 12, a win over Abilene Christian.
