Trojans Set for Home Opener

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will play its home-opener on Thursday as the Trojans welcome Samford to the Lunsford Tennis Complex. The Trojans and Bulldogs are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
The Trojans (0-2) haven't been in action since Jan. 21 when they fell to No.21 Auburn. Troy's only other match came at No.44 Florida State.
However, after just two matches over the season's first three weeks, the Trojans will get their chances to improve their standing as they play three matches in the next four days. After hosting the Bulldogs on Thursday, Troy travels to take on Alabama on Saturday before hosting Kennesaw State on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Samford (2-0) comes into the contest after wins over Lipscomb and USC Upstate to open their season. Thursday's match will mark the first away from home for the Bulldogs, last year's Southern Conference Champions.
