KENNESAW, Ga. – Kyle Thommesen recorded his lowest round of the season and Tolver Dozier led with a 36-hole total 149 to pace the Troy men's golf team to a fifth place standing after Monday's first two rounds of the Pinetree Intercollegiate at the Pinetree Country Club.

Dozier carded a first round five-over par, but rebounded on the final 18 holes to card an even-par, 72, to enter Tuesday's final round tied for 14th at five-over par.

Thommesen used a season-best 73 in the opening round before shooting a 77 in round two to finish day one tied for 18th at six-over par with a total score of 150.

Jacob Harper tied with Thommesen after shooting a 74 and 76 in rounds one and two.

Jake Tucker finished just two strokes behind Dozier and Thommesen after carding a 76 in each of the two rounds to enter the final 18 holes tied for 30th at eight-over par.

Wil Clowdus rounded out the field of Trojans, carding first and second round scores of 80 and 77 to enter the final round tied for 50th at 13-over par.

Tournament host Kennesaw State was led by Jimmy Beck (72-65-137) and Ben Greene (71-72-143) to lead the field of 12 by 12 strokes heading into Tuesday's final round at five-under par.

Clowdus will begin action for the Trojans Tuesday morning, slated for a tee-off time at 8:38. Tucker, Thommesen, Harper and Dozier will follow in nine minute increments.
