Troy Continues Tough Slate at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team continues the early portion of its spring schedule on Saturday as it travels to Auburn to take on the Tigers.
The Trojans (0-1) are coming off of a loss to No.44 Florida State in their season opener while 21st-ranked Auburn is playing their season opener on Saturday. The match is set to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the Yarbrough Tennis Center.
Troy will look to build on some successful performances from their outing in Tallahassee on Monday as a couple of Trojans took the Seminoles to the brink in despite the 7-0 final score.
Anas Rouchdi forced a super-tiebreaker with FSU's No.1 singles player, Jordan Kelly-Houston by capturing the first set, 6-1. Patrick Eichler also forced a super-tiebreaker as he played at the number five spot in the singles lineup for Troy.
The Tigers feature Andreas Mies, the 18th ranked singles player in the nation. Mies teams up with Alex Stamchev to form the sixth best doubles pair in the nation.
