Trojans Perform Well at the GSU Invitational

Trojans perform well at the Georgia State Invitational after a week of great practice.
“Our teams continue to improve and perform well,” said Coach Casey McDermott. “The weather was nice and worked in our favor.”
The women's team faced a 6K course and finished seventh as a team. Morgan Paulson was the first Trojan across the finish line for the third week in a row with a time of 24:17 placing 25th.
Haley Davies stepped up her performance this week and placed 42nd for the Trojans running a time of 25:03.
“Haley did a great job this week,” said Coach McDermott. “I was really impressed with her performance on the 6K course.”
The men's team ran on the 8K course and finished ninth as a team. David Hudman was the first Trojan to cross the finish line running a time of 28:16.
“The men's team are almost where they want to be to finish the season,” said Coach McDermott. “They performed well again today.”
Kemper Morton finished 55th with a time of 28:27, while freshman Sam Ammons stepped up and finished 68th with a time of 29:03.
The Trojans will be in action again next week heading to the Florida State Invitational on Friday before they get a two week break prior to the season-finisher at home at the Coach “O” Invitational.
