Another Honor for Sophomore Weathers

FULL LISTING OF ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS
KANSAS CITY, MO. -- The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the NABC Division I All-District teams for 2011, recognizing the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 245 student-athletes, from 24 districts, are eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 2, at 9:30 a.m. (EDT) at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston during the NABC Convention and NCAA® Final Four®.
A native of New Orleans, La., sophomore Will Weathers is Troy's fourth All-District selection in the last three seasons. He joins Brandon Hazzard (2009=2010) and Richard Delk (2009) as members of the prestigious NABC team.
This season, Weathers was joined on the District 24 Second Team by South Alabama center Augustine Rubit, WKU's Steffphon Pettigrew, Arkansas State guard Donald Boone, Denver's Chase Hallam and Florida Atlantic senior center Brett Royster.
Weathers averaged 12.0 ppg to finish second on Troy's team and led the Sun Belt with 178 assists and 50 steals in the regular season. He was also tops in the league playing 37.0 minutes per game.
The sophomore was previously named to the All-Sun Belt third team by a vote of the league's coaches and media.
