MOBILE, Ala. – The Troy University men's golf team made positive strides on the second day of the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate at Magnolia Grove Crossings Golf Course.

After struggling through the first two rounds of the tournament on Monday, Troy bounced back with a final round score of 294. The Trojans finished 15th in the event, hosted by the University of South Alabama, with a final score of 919, which was 55-over par.

Sun Belt Conference foe Middle Tennessee won the tournament over a strong field of teams by 11 shots. The Blue Raiders were led by tournament medalist Jason Millard, who closed the event with a course record 63 on Tuesday.

The Trojans were led by junior Ricky Casko who closed the event with a four-under par score of 68 on Tuesday. Casko finished tied for 44th overall in the event.

The Trojans will next be in action at the USF Invitational in Dade City, Fla. That event runs March 3-6 at the Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club.
