Senatobia, MS - Trojan Rodeo was back in action this weekend at North West Mississippi Community College. The Trojans were looking to improve their performance from last weekend and regain the lead in the Ozark Region.
"We had a good weekend. We saw a lot of improvement from the previous event and regained a lot of momentum," said Head Coach Josh Simmons. "We are confident in the potential of our team to regain first place. It is not out of our reach."
The Troy Men's Rodeo team did improve by finishing the weekend in third place. Stetson Aldridge and Will Bradley lead the Trojans in Team and Calf Roping. Freshman Kyle Wyatt had another breakout event as he finished first in Tie Down Roping.
Whitney Hazouri was the Women's Rodeo standout of the event as she placed in the Women's All-Around with her performance in Breakaway Roping.
The Trojans have began to prepare for Mississippi State for their next event.
"Our biggest problem from this event was mental errors. We will be working on mental aspect for our upcoming meeting with Mississippi State," said Coach Simmons.
The Rodeo team will be back in action April 9th in Starkville, Mississippi. For complete results visit: collegerodeo.com.
