Final Fall Tournament Underway In Tuscaloosa

The Trojans will be facing opponents from 25 different colleges and universities

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The final fall tournament of the year gets underway Friday morning on the campus of the University of Alabama, where the Troy Trojans will be taking on players from 25 different colleges and universities around the country.
The tournament features teams from Alabama, Auburn, Boston College, Chattanooga, Georgia State, Illinois, Indiana, Liberty, Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Radford, Savannah College of Art and Design, Southern Miss, Stillman, Tennessee, Tennessee Tech, Tulane, UAB, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and West Alabama.
Matches will begin at 9 am each day of the tournament, which run Friday through Sunday.
The hottest player of the fall for the Trojans, Anas Rouchdi will be competing in the bottom half of the Bear Bryant Draw – considered the strongest draw in the tournament. The sophomore will face Notre Dame's Greg Andrews Friday morning, with the winner facing the winner of the match between Indiana's Josh McTaggart and UAB's Danny Manlow in the quarterfinal round.
In the Hannah Draw, Sami Ghorbel entered the draw as the two-seed and received a bye into the quarterfinal round in which he will face the winner of Bryan Swartz of Tennessee and Chris Smith of Chattanooga in the bottom half of the draw.
The Trojans' Jamie Ecceleton will play out of the top half of the draw in the Musso Draw and will face a Sun Belt Conference foe in the opening round of the tournament on Friday in Middle Tennessee's Shaun Waters. The winner of that match will face the winner of Sean Tan of Notre Dame and Holger Norregaard of Tulane.
Senior Mario Rolemberg will be playing out of the Namath Draw on Friday morning as he takes on Johnathan Raude of Boston College in the Round of 16. The winner will face Michael Thompson of Alabama in the quarterfinal round.
Meanwhile, freshman Tommy Cundy will play out of the Palmer Draw, facing John Taylor of Tennessee Tech in the opening round. The winner will face the winner of the match between Kyle Wishing of Middle Tennessee and KC Griffen of Memphis is the quarterfinals.
Junior Branko Weber faces Alabama's Vikram Reddy in the Round of 16 out of the Stabler Draw. The winner of that match will face the winner of Juan Pablo Gutierrez of Georgia State and Erik Kreutzer of Boston College.
In doubles action, the team of Tommy Cundy and Branko Weber will face Illinois' Brian Alden and Stephen Hoh in the Round of 32, looking to advance to the Round of 16 to either face a team from Liberty or a team from Boston College. Teammates Anas Rouchdi and Mario Rolemberg will also play out of the Crimson Draw, as they face Notre Dame's Greg Andrews and Tyler Davis in the Round of 32.
The only other doubles team in action is the team of Sami Ghorbel and Jamie Eccleton, and they will face the Boston College team of Erik Kreutzer and Alex Skinner in the Round of 32.
