TROY, Ala. - The Troy University Rodeo Team will host the annual Trojan Stampede Rodeo this weekend at the Pike County Cattleman's Association Facility.
Show times on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 7 p.m. and admission is FREE to Students with a Student ID.
The Trojan Spurs are going into this weekend's event well rested after having a week off. Even with the small break from competition, both teams have continued to work hard.
"Both teams have been working hard. We have an off week to get a little rest but we will be continuing to work hard in preparation for our home rodeo" says head coach Josh Simmons.
The women's team goes into this weekend looking to continue a two-event win streak. The Troy men are hoping to improve their record with the advantage of competing at home.
Stetson Aldridge and Will Bradley will be looking to continue their success in team roping. Whitney Hazouri has had great performances in breakaway roping, even finishing first in the Trojans last event in Southern Arkansas.
The Trojan Stampede is part of the Ozark Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA).
Come out and support your Trojans!
