“We tried all week to stay consistent,” Gentry said. “The plan does not always work the way you want it to but we gave it our best and it didn't work out this time.”
Junior Andy Seiler and his partner Wes Brunson, also of UAM and Bart's brother, made a run of 12.1 seconds in round one, but missed in rounds two and three.

“It just wasn't our week,” Coach Josh Simmons said. “We made a valiant effort and prepared well and it just didn't go our way.”
The times were no better for the women's team who struggled in both the barrel racing and breakaway competitions.
Freshmen Nisha Middleton and sophomore Mary Owens struggled in the early rounds and were unable to catch up in the barrel racing after a grueling week with tough competitors from across the nation.
Freshman Tabitha Kiker posted a time of 12.6 seconds in round three, her only recorded time of the week.
