Troy Rodeo On The Road to Mississippi

The Trojans will compete this weekend at the
Sophomore Clint Keller is hoping to keep his winning ways alive after claiming the top honors in the tie-down roping at the University of Tennessee-Martin rodeo last weekend.
“I am looking to keep getting points and doing positive things,” Keller said. “I am in a position to make the College National Finals Rodeo in two events and I need to make the most of my opportunities.”
Keller is currently first in the Ozark Region standing in the team roping and second in the tie-down roping standings for the region.
Catina Caruthers had a breakout weekend after earning points in two events last weekend at Martin, those two being the breakaway and the goat tying. She is part of the third place women's team for the Ozark Region.
Trojan team ropers are looking to continue on their path of points after two team have collected accolades at the past two events. Freshmen Aaron Lowe and Will Bradley earned points in both of the past two rodeos, along with their teammates and counterparts sophomore Mark Gentry and junior Andy Seiler.
“The team is really starting to turn it up for a strong finish,” coach Josh Simmons said. “The work is paying off and the points are proving it, we just need to keep progressing as time goes on.”
