Trojans Take Advantage of Errors in 5-2 Win

Junior Beau Brooks singled up the middle with one out in the eighth inning. He advanced to second on a wild pitch. Michael Precise walked then Steven Felix reached on an error scoring Brooks. Felix advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a throwing error by Joe Blackburn. Peterson also scored on the throwing error giving
Junior Trevor Tyre led off the Trojan first inning with a walk and score on a single from Daryl Otwell. Otwell hit a ball up the middle that hit off of the pitchers leg and rolled into left field scoring
Ryan Ellison had another solid outing but for the second straight appearance he did not factor in the decision. Ellison went the full six innings allowing one run on three hits and struck out 10
A.J. Howard pitched the seventh inning and gave up the solo shot to Kelley. He gave up the one hit and struck out one.
Senior Neal Jordan (1-0) came on to pitch the eighth inning and gave up only one hit in hit outing.
Closer Josh Storm came on in the ninth to close out the game with three strikeouts, all looking.
