Rodeo Rides Back Into Troy

TROY, Ala. -- The Troy Trojan rodeo team plays host to the sixth annual Trojan Stampede Rodeo at the Pike County Cattlemen's Complex October 11-13.

Competitors in the Ozark Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association will be representing 15 schools in nine states.

Troy is currently ranked second in the women's team competition in the region and fifth in the men's competition.

Leading the women's team are sophomore Mary Owens, who is currently first in the breakaway roping, and freshman Nisha Middleton, who is leading the barrel racing competition.

The rodeo will start each night at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $7.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and free for all children five and under. You will receive $1.00 dollar off the price of admission when presenting a canned food item at the gate.
