The men's team finished the rodeo with a total of 825 points, a season high for the Trojans.
“We were proud to really perform the best way we know how in our town,” coach
Sophomore Clint Keller won the calf roping average with a time of 19.8 seconds in two rounds of competition. Keller also placed third in the team roping competition with his partner and teammate Ty Ethridge.
Sophomore Mark Gentry and his partner Morgan Jones of
Senior Jackie Jacobs led the way for the women's team winning the breakaway roping average with a total time of 6.4 seconds.
Others earning points for the Trojans included Will Bradley and Ben Mayworth in the calf roping, Jessica Osborne in the breakaway roping, Stetson Aldridge and Jake Thomas in steer wrestling and Randie Jo Williams in the barrel racing competition.
