Troy Ends 2006 Season Strong

Dobbins and Seiler ended the CNFR seventh in team roping with a time of 11.4 seconds. Dobbins and Seiler moved to the finals after placing sixth overall after three rounds with times of 14.6, 15.1 and 6.1 seconds.
Freshman Ben Mayworth also performed well for the Trojans as he won the second round of calf roping with a time of 8.8 seconds.
As a team the men placed 28th out of 59 total teams with a point total of 180.
On the women's side, freshman Jacqueline Jacobs finished 13th after the three rounds and did not advance to the finals. Overall Jacobs had an impressive performance as she posted times of 8.0, 8.1 and 7.6 seconds in the three rounds to qualify for the finals.
Also for the women, senior Heather Cave placed third in the first round of breakaway roping with a time of 2.8 seconds and freshman Camille Cox finished seventh in the second round of barrel racing with a time of 14.57 seconds.
The women's team finished 22nd out of 36 teams with 80 points.
Overall this is one of the best year's we've had. This is a young team with only one senior and I am very proud with the way they handled themselves and how they performed,” head coach Cliff Toliver said.
