10/11/2006 12:00:00 AM | Rodeo
The Trojans will host 20 colleges at the annual event Friday and Saturday nights. Competition will start each night at 7 p.m.
Among the teams scheduled to attend are squads from Mississippi State, Michigan State, the University of West Alabama and the Ozark Region leading team from the University of Tennessee-Martin.
We're hoping for our men and women to win the rodeo and we believe it will be a successful weekend,? Troy coach Cliff Toliver said.
The Trojans feature a host of young talent with nine freshmen on the men's team and three on the women's.
The older athletes are really being leaders on the team,? Toliver said. The freshmen have stepped up and are really doing their part.?
Admission each night to the event is $8 for adults, $5 for high school students and free for Troy University students and children under seven.
