Trojans Take Third in Ozark Region Rodeo

Jonesboro, Ark. - The Troy University men's rodeo team finished third in the Ozark Region Rodeo held March 25-26 in Jonesboro, Ark. The Trojans scored 230 team points and remain in second place in the Ozark Region overall standings.
Wes Brunson finished second in the men's overall with 120 points, just five points behind men's overall winner Zakery Danison of Tennessee-Martin.
Brunson won the tie down roping event with a combined time of 20.0. Payton Sides won the long run of the tie down roping event with a time of ten seconds, and finished fourth in the event.
Erin Bullin finished second in steer wrestling with a combined score of 16.1. Brunson had a short-run time of 6.1 seconds to finish fourth in the event. Dustin Merritt finished tied for sixth with a time of 18.7 seconds.
The Trojans head back to Arkansas on March 31 when they compete in the Arkansas-Pine Bluff rodeo.
