Troy Fares Well Through First Round of Trojan Stampede

A pair of Trojans lead in barrel racing through the first round, with Lauren Cox finishing in a time of 16.22 seconds and Jessica D'Olive finishing in 16.49 seconds.
Troy's Andy Seiler is in fourth place in calf roping with a first-round time of 13.7 seconds. Kim Trumbell finished the breakaway roping with a time of 5.0 seconds, good for fifth place in the first round. Troy's Paige Miller finished the goat tying event with a time of 12.8 seconds to stand in eighth place through the first round.
The long gos will continue with spill-over rounds being held late Thursday night and Friday morning at 9 a.m., as well as another night of competition on Friday starting at 7:30 p.m. The top 10 finishers in each event will meet in the championship round on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
