Geren Woodbridge joins the Troy track and field staff as an assistant coach working with the pole vault and multi-event athletes.

Woodbridge competed in track and field at Liberty University where he participated in the pole vault, javelin and multi-events. During his career, he earned 11 All-Big South Honors, four Big South Conference Individual titles and one ICAAAA Individual title, in the decathlon. Woodbridge also became the Big South's first-ever three-time indoor heptathlon champion. He was also named to the Big South Presidential Honor Roll and served as team captain for two years.

Woodbridge spent his 2010 fall semester as an intern for the coaching staff at Liberty University. His duties included recruiting assistance, practice management, facility management, and home meet management.

In 2011, Woodbridge earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from Liberty. He is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports and fitness management from Troy University.

He joins the Trojans after spending two years as a Rehab Support Technician at Lehigh Valley Hospital in his hometown of Allentown, Pa.
