Troy Collects Four First Place Finishes at Terry Long FSU Relays

Tallahassee, Fla. - Troy concluded two days of competition at the Terry Long FSU Relays. The Trojans collected more than 10 top three finishes, including four first place finishes.
On day one, Aaliyah Murphy set the tone for the weekend by winning the women's 400-meter hurdles in 59.17, which shattered her previous school record of 59.94.
Makenna Calbert finished second overall in the women's 5000-meters with a time of 18:25.23. On the men's side, Lane Watson finished third in 15:21.54.
Malik Humphrey set a personal best of 7.34m in the men's long jump to finish third overall.
On day two, Faith Jones kicked things off for the Trojans as she stormed to first place in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.66. Jones set a personal best in her respective event for the second weekend in a row, continuing her dominance from the indoor season.
In the men's 800, Ethan Forbes won the men's 800 in 1:50.21, followed closely behind by Jonas Koturenka in second with a personal best time of 1:50.74.
The quartet of Rachel Whyte, Haley Wilson, Jasmine Jimenez and Aaliyah Murphy won their season opener in the 4x400 in a blazing time of 3:41.99. The men's 4x400 of Romario Taylor, Dawson Isbell, Ethan Forbes and Devyn Pearman finished third overall in 3:11.64.
The Trojans return to action next weekend at home for the Doc Anderson Invitational in Troy, Ala.
