Named MVP of the prestigious New England Collegiate Baseball League (wood bat) after batting .390 with 37 runs scored, 62 hits, 37 RBIs, 19 home runs and a .818 slugging percentage in 41 games… Set the NECBL single-season records in home runs, slugging percentage, extra-base hits (29) and total bases (130) … Won the NECBL Home Run Derby and participated in the All-Star Game … Named to the Perfect Game 2012 Summer Collegiate All-America Team
2012 (Sophomore)
Started all 58 games with 45 starts at third base, 12 as the designated hitter and one at first base … Finished third in the Sun Belt with 12 home runs – eight of which came in league play, which was tied for the league lead … Finished fourth in the league with 17 doubles, third with 52 RBIs, fifth with a .562 slugging percentage and third with 131 total bases … Named the Sun Belt Hitter of the Week for his work against Jacksonville State and Middle Tennessee – hit .438 (7-of-16) with a double, a triple and two home runs; also scored seven times and drove in nine runs … Named to the Sun Belt All-Tournament Team after batting .667 (8-of-12) with three runs scored, a home run and three RBIs … Ranked 70th in the NCAA with 0.21 home runs per game and 53rd in the country with 12 blasts for the season; was 84th with 52 RBIs, 100th with 0.9 RBIs per game, 60th with 131 total bases and 96th with a .562 slugging percentage ...
