Made four starts on the mound and 13 total appearances … Dominated perennial baseball power East Carolina in an 8-2 Troy victory; allowed just two runs on three hits over 6.0 innings of work against the Pirates, he struck out five and walked one … Earned his first career Sun Belt start the following weekend at South Alabama and struck out three in 1.2 innings of work … Finished the season with 15 strikeouts and just six walks in 19 innings … Also started games against Alabama State and Samford … Ended the year with a 1-3 record and 6.63 ERA … Did not allow a run in seven of his 13 outings … Struck out the side in his lone inning of work at Southern Miss
