Transitioned from a bullpen role into a weekend starter for the Trojans … Started 12 games on the season and appeared in 15 total contests … First career start came in Troy’s 9-0 victory over Alabama; held the Crimson Tide to just three hits and no runs over 4.2 innings; he walked just one and struck out three … Finished the season 2-3 with a 4.19 ERA … Threw six shutout innings to pick up his first career victory in the series finale against Florida Atlantic; struck out four and walked just one – it was the first-ever shutout for Florida Atlantic in Sun Belt play … Tossed 6.1 innings in the finale against ULM and allowed just three hits and one run to go along with four strikeouts and a walk … Struck out six in 4.2 innings in a relief role against Monmouth … Did not have a wild pitch the remainder of the season after throwing three in his debut against UAB
