2005: Saw action in 10 games, starting the final eight at left guard ... Made his first start at South Carolina, playing 68 snaps ... Played a season-high 73 snaps at Louisiana-Lafayette ... Best grade in a game was 77% at Arkansas State ... Played 534 snaps for the year, grading out at 66.8% for the season ... Was credited with 14 knockdown blocks for the year.

PREP: Started four seasons for coach Wallace Davis at Carver High School ... As a senior, earned first-team All-District, All-Area, All-Region and All-Metro honors as an offensive guard in Class AAAAA District 4 after grading out at 98 percent on the season and tallying 60 pancake blocks ... Was named team captain as a senior and received the team’s Most Valuable Offensive Lineman award ... Was a preseason “Dandy Dozen” pick by Columbus Ledger-Enquirer, which also nominated him for the “Page One Award” ... Also a state finalist for the Wendy’s High School Heisman award ... Served as the Tigers’ kicker in 2003, recording 10 touchbacks ... Was selected to start in the GACA North-South All-Star game ... As a junior at CHS, earned All-Region honors in Class AAAAA District 2 after recording 45 pancakes and grading out at 94 percent ...
