LAFAYETTE, La. - Troy soccer fell to Louisiana on Sunday afternoon, 5-0.

Troy (1-8-2) totaled just six shots while tying a season-low with one shot on goal.

Louisiana (8-2-2, 2-0-1) controlled possession through the first 15 minutes, as Taylor Richards was forced to make her first save of the day in the 15th minute, diving to her left to corral a spinning shot.

The Cajuns opened the scoring in the 30th minute as Miku Kurihara scored her Sun Belt-leading 10th goal of the season, faking a shot before cutting inside onto her right foot and beating Richards to the left side.

Louisiana added another 10 minutes later when Olivia Harding was able to get a head on a ball directly in front of goal.

Troy earned a free kick in the final third to open the second half; however, the Trojans were unable to create a chance as the ball harmlessly ran past the goal line.

Louisiana scored its third goal of the match in the 49th minute as Salma Elhaimer found the back of the net with a shot from the edge of the box.

The Cajuns added goals in the 60th and 86th minutes to wrap up the 5-0 win.

Troy is now 12-10-1 all-time against Louisiana.
