TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team hits the links for the second time this season, traveling to Choudrant, La., and the Squire Creek Country Clu for the Argent Financial Classic, hosted by Louisiana Tech on Sunday through Tuesday.

The Trojans haven't played since Sept. 6-8, when they finished second at the Golfweek Fall Challenge. Four of the five players in head coach Clay Bound's lineup shot under-par for the tournament, led by first-year Jack Lowery, who carded a 5-under 211 in his debut.

Troy shot 15-under as a team, the fifth-best in program history relative to par for a 54-hole event. Additionally, the Trojans shot under par as a team in all three rounds for the first time since shooting a 9-under 855 last year at the Argent Financial Classic.

The Trojans have historically played well at Squire Creek, including a team victory in 2024 and five team rounds under-par over the nine rounds played at the event.

Lowrey shot in the red in all three of his rounds at the Golfweek Challenge, as the five Trojans playing in the event combined for 10 rounds under-par out of 15 total rounds played.

Pablo Gracia, Thomas Crane and Lee Poppell each had a pair of rounds in the red, while Lawton Emblom added a 2-under 70 in the second round. Bounds will roll with the same five for this week's event.
